4K IPTV that is honest about what is really 4K

Almost every IPTV seller now puts 4K in its name. Very few tell you that 4K depends on the channel, your connection and your device, or that a stream labelled 4K is sometimes just an HD picture stretched to fit. Our 4K IPTV service carries real 4K streams on the channels that broadcast in 4K, Full HD and HD on everything else, across more than 30,000 channels, and we tell you what you need at home to see the difference. Test it on your own 4K TV for 24 hours before you pay.

4K availability depends on the channel and the event, and it changes over time. Ask us which channels are in 4K today, and check them during the free trial.

4K IPTV plans and prices

There is no 4K surcharge: every plan carries the 4K, FHD and HD streams. Three months on one screen costs $39. The 12-month plan adds a free month, and plans for two to four screens let several 4K TVs watch at once, as long as your connection keeps up.

4K IPTV on the right device

The device decides whether 4K reaches your screen. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max, a Google TV streamer, an Apple TV 4K or a 4K Android TV box can all decode 4K streams in an IPTV player: TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro on Fire OS and Google TV, a player from the App Store on Apple TV. Avoid the Fire TV Stick 4K Select and other Vega OS models, which cannot install these players. Recent Samsung and LG 4K TVs can play 4K through players from their own stores, though a good stick often handles demanding streams better. Our IPTV box guide compares the hardware.

How 4K IPTV works

A 4K channel carries four times as many pixels as Full HD. To keep that within a home connection, 4K streams are compressed with modern codecs, usually HEVC, also called H.265, so the device in front of your TV has to decode them. Older sticks and some older smart TVs simply cannot, and fall back to a lower resolution or refuse to play.

Speed matters more than for any other stream. The FCC's broadband speed guide puts 4K video at 25 Mbps for a single stream, so two 4K TVs at once need roughly double, plus room for everything else in the house. An Ethernet cable is worth more than any setting: Wi-Fi speeds that look fine on a test drop quickly behind a wall or at peak hours.

If a 4K channel stutters while HD channels play smoothly, the stream is fine and the connection or the device is the limit. Our guide to IPTV buffering shows how to find which one.

Real 4K or upscaled?

Real 4K means the channel is produced and sent in 4K. Upscaled means an HD or Full HD picture is enlarged to fill a 4K screen. Your TV upscales everything automatically, so a stream sent in HD can look sharp on a 4K set and still not be 4K.

There is a simple check. Most players can show stream information, often under the info or settings button while a channel plays. A real 4K stream reports a resolution of 3840 by 2160. If it says 1920 by 1080, it is Full HD, whatever the channel name says.

4K is most common on major sports events, films and nature or showcase channels. News and most general channels are in Full HD or HD, and for them that is perfectly fine.

What you need at home

A 4K TV, obviously, and a device that decodes 4K HEVC streams. A connection of about 25 Mbps per 4K screen, ideally by cable. And an HDMI cable labelled Premium High Speed or Ultra High Speed, plugged into an HDMI input that your TV lists as 4K-capable: on some TVs only one or two inputs accept the full 4K signal.

If one of these is missing, you still get Full HD, which looks very good on a 4K TV. 4K is the top layer, not the foundation.

Sport is where 4K shines

Fast movement shows the difference between 4K and HD better than anything else, which is why big sports events are the most common 4K broadcasts. Use a cable connection for those evenings, and test before the event, not during it.

Sports channels are part of every plan at no extra cost, in 4K where the broadcast is in 4K and in FHD or HD otherwise.

4K IPTV: questions and answers

Is every channel in 4K?

No, and no honest provider can say so. 4K depends on the channel and the event. Channels that broadcast in 4K come through in 4K; the rest are in Full HD or HD. Ask us for the current 4K list.

What internet speed do I need for 4K IPTV?

The FCC's broadband speed guide gives 25 Mbps for one 4K stream. Add the same again for each extra 4K screen, and use Ethernet where you can.

Which devices support 4K IPTV?

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Google TV streamers, Apple TV 4K, 4K Android TV boxes and recent Samsung and LG 4K TVs. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select cannot install IPTV players.

Does 4K cost more?

No. 4K, FHD and HD are included in every plan, from $39 for three months on one screen.

How can I tell if a stream is really 4K?

Open the stream information in your player while the channel plays. Real 4K shows 3840 by 2160; Full HD shows 1920 by 1080.

Why does my 4K channel buffer when HD is fine?

4K needs several times the bandwidth of HD. Use a cable connection, close other heavy downloads, and check that your device decodes HEVC.

Is there a free 4K IPTV trial?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with your device, and we send a 24-hour login with the current 4K channels.
